Common questions
What's the difference between a movie and a storybook?
A movie is a short cinematic story video (about 12 seconds), generated by our cinematic video engine. Storybooks are still illustrations with narration — pages you turn, words that light up as they're read.
Do unused stories roll over?
No — monthly limits reset at the start of each billing month, with no rollover.
Can I change plans later?
Anytime. Upgrades take effect instantly; downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle.
Do I need to upload photos of my child?
No — a sentence describing them works too. If you do share photos, they're encrypted, never used to train AI models, and deletable whenever you like. More on how we keep it safe.
Is there a free trial?
Six stories are free to read tonight, no credit card — and you can make stories of your own free too. The free plan isn't a trial at all. It's free forever.
What ages is WonderCast for?
Stories are optimized for ages 3–8, and adapt to your child's age.
Which plans include voice cloning?
Creator and Studio — that's where a story can be told in a parent's own voice.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your billing cycle — and the stories you've made are yours forever.
How do refunds work?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple — visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID you used for the purchase. For a subscription purchased on the web, you can cancel anytime in Settings → Billing; for a refund request, email support@wondercast.app from the address on your account.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor. Schools and institutions can also pay by invoice.
Can more than one child share an account?
Yes — Creator supports up to 5 child profiles and Studio unlimited, each with their own avatar, age, and story library. Free, Wondy, and Starter include one profile.
How long does a story take to make?
Storybooks are ready in about two minutes. Movies take a few minutes for the cinematic rendering. You'll get a notification the moment it's ready.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet — our native apps today are for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. But WonderCast works in any modern browser, so Android phones and tablets can read, listen, and create at www.wondercast.app.
Can I change a character's photo or description later?
Anytime — swap between a written description and a photo, or delete an avatar and generate a new one, right from the Cast editor. Nothing is locked in.
Do you support languages other than English?
Story text is in English today, and the app itself already speaks Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. More story languages are on the way — follow our blog for updates.
