It was late in the Wonderwood. All the other little forest friends were fast asleep. But Wondy, the wise young owl, was still wide awake.

He looked out of his cozy home. The evening breeze, which had been playful all day, was now slowing down. It moved the leaves with a gentle, sleepy whisper.

The bright fireflies dimmed their lights, one by one, like tiny nightlights getting sleepy. The little stream, which had gurgled and splashed all day, now whispered a soft, calming lullaby.

Wondy decided to copy the peaceful forest. He took a very deep breath, then let it out slowly, slowly. He made his wings feel heavy, just like the sleepy leaves. He snuggled deeper into his cozy hollow.

With every slow breath, Wondy felt himself drifting, drifting, drifting. Soon, the wise young owl was fast asleep, dreaming sweet dreams in his safe, cozy home. Goodnight, Wondy.
