Fern the shy fox peeked out from her cozy den. The Wonderwood was quiet, but something was missing. The Sleepy Star, usually twinkling so softly, was gone! Wondy the owl hooted gently from a branch. "Don't worry, Fern," she whispered. "Bruno and I will help you find it. Where should we look first?"

Fern tiptoed towards the Whispering Willows. Their long, leafy branches swayed like sleepy dancers. A tiny glow flickered behind a big, mossy rock. "Maybe it's there!" whispered Bruno, his eyes wide. Fern nodded, her tail giving a little twitch. Should they peek behind the rock, or listen to the willows' soft song first?

The friends padded softly to the Glimmering Stream. Its water sparkled like a thousand tiny diamonds. Wondy spotted something shiny caught on a smooth pebble in the water. "Look!" she hooted. Bruno waded in carefully. Should Fern ask Bruno to try and get the shiny thing, or should they follow the stream's gentle path?

Fern bravely nudged the mossy rock with her nose. Behind it, nestled in soft leaves, was a lost firefly! It blinked its light sadly. "Oh, it's just a firefly," sighed Bruno. "Not the Sleepy Star." The firefly blinked again, then zipped away. Fern saw a faint trail of its light leading deeper into the woods. Should Fern follow the firefly's light, or go back to the stream?

Fern and her friends sat quietly, listening to the willows' soothing whispers. It was like a lullaby. As they listened, a soft, sleepy glow drifted down from the branches above! It landed gently on Fern's nose. It was the Sleepy Star, tired from its travels! "You found it!" hooted Wondy happily. Fern giggled, feeling brave and clever.

Bruno carefully reached for the shiny thing. It was a lost button! It sparkled, but it wasn't the Sleepy Star. "Oh well," said Bruno, shrugging his furry shoulders. "Let's keep looking." Fern noticed a path leading away from the stream, marked by smooth, grey stones. "Maybe that way?" she suggested. Should they follow the path of stones, or check the other side of the stream?

Nestled amongst soft moss by the water's edge was the Sleepy Star, glowing softly. It seemed to have just rolled there. "We found it!" cheered Bruno.

Fern and her friends hopped across the Glimmering Stream. On the other side, they found a hollow log filled with soft, glowing moss. Peeking out from the moss was the Sleepy Star! "Hooray!" shouted Bruno. Fern felt a little flutter of excitement. Should they ask Wondy to gently carry it, or should Fern nudge it with her nose?
